Louise Broderick was born in Derbyshire, England, but now lives on the west coast of Ireland. She writes equestrian fiction for younger readers as Jacqui Broderick. She has been involved with horses all of her life as an owner and competitor.  She was an equestrian magazine editor for over a decade and is now a full time novelist.
